Where to adopt pets in Malaysia

Paws Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

PAWS is a non-profit animal shelter in Petaling Jaya that has been in operation since 1987 and they still receive many animals that are up for adoption.

PAWS ensure that the animals under their care have been vaccinated, dewormed and neutered or spayed.

Once that’s all done, these animals are put up for adoption. If you intend to adopt a pet, have a look at the adoption process on their website before going over for a visit.

Katzen Cat Sanctuary

Katzen Cat Sanctuary is a non-profit no kill cat sanctuary started by two sisters in Shah Alam. Katzen takes in cats with untreatable diseases as well.

The cat-loving sisters are very selective with potential adopters and will conduct both interviews and a home visit to ensure the cats go to a loving home.

They will conduct random home visits too to make sure the felines continue to live a happy life. If you can’t adopt, you can help the sisters out by donating so they can help shelter more cats.
